Pharmacist CDP
The Pharmacist Career Development Pathway (CDP) offers progression from a common foundation that strengthens clinical competencies to three distinct career tracks for development of pharmacists: (i) Advanced Practice Track for broad clinical expertise across multiple therapeutic areas; (ii) Specialty Practice Track for pharmacy specialties recognised by the Pharmacy Specialist Accreditation Board; (iii) System-Enabling Practice Track for pharmacists in focused areas such as pharmacy informatics, pharmaceutical compounding, procurement and inventory management.
Regardless of their chosen career track, all pharmacists will develop expertise in four core areas throughout their careers: (i) person-centred care and collaboration, (ii) leadership and management, (iii) education, and (iv) research and innovation. This approach aligns with the Development Framework for Pharmacists.
