Pre-Registration Pharmacist Training and Assessment
The Day-One Pharmacist Blueprint outlines the essential competency standards required for a newly qualified pharmacist to effectively deliver their professional responsibilities from day one of practice. These competency standards are adapted from the Developmental Framework for Pharmacists (2024) to facilitate seamless transition from school to workplace.

Development Framework for Pharmacists (DFP)
The DFP is a tool to facilitate a systematic and harmonized progression for pharmacists from foundation to advanced practice. It allows pharmacists practicing across settings to design and structure an individual development plan to meet competence and to develop their career. The DFP is formed with the addition of foundation level competencies to the Competency Standards for Pharmacists in Advanced Practice (APF) which was first introduced by MOH in 2016.

The PLDS is a tool to complement the Development Framework for Pharmacists (DFP) to provide a systematic approach to develop self-leadership and identify essential leadership skills and competencies.

Competency Standards for Pharmacy Technicians
The National Competency Standards for Pharmacy Technicians (Entry Level) describes the competency requirements for enter-level pharmacy technicians in public healthcare institutions. It aims to produce and maintain a pharmacy technician workforce that is able to manage day-to-day pharmacy operations in a manner that will ensure optimal patient care and public safety, under the supervision of registered pharmacists. Development Framework for Pharmacy Technicians (DFPT)
Building upon the foundation established by the Pharmacy Technicians Entry-to-Practice Competency Standards, the DFPT articulates competency standards across performance levels for the development of pharmacy technicians. Pharmacy technicians may use the DFPT to guide career conversations and chart their developmental plans.
